Perched at the highest point in Anglesea, this elevated hideaway looks out over rolling bushland toward the sea, with the Anglesea Heath and Great Otway National Park behind, just across the road.

Like all Dufflebird properties, we’ve included our essentials: a wood heater with wood provided, a well-equipped kitchen, and a quality bed for restful nights.

Enjoy your private balcony, small yard, and tranquil surroundings. The beaches in town are just a 2-minute drive, and the iconic Bells Beach is only 12 km away.

Whether you’re looking to bunker down and reset or use McQueen as a launch pad to explore the Great Ocean Road, it offers comfort, privacy, and a uniquely peaceful Surf Coast experience.

Even if you only have time for a taste of the full 243 km Great Ocean Road, the Anglesea-to-Lorne stretch is our favourite, just 28 minutes via Aireys Inlet, including the iconic Memorial Arch.

We also enjoy supporting travellers planning a longer stay, or those using McQueen as a base for the Great Ocean Walk and other adventures. With prior arrangement, we may be able to assist with drop-offs for walking trips, and we’re happy to discuss laundry facilities and other arrangements to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.

Guest access

The studio and its private, small yard are entirely for your use during your stay. While the studio is attached to the owner’s house, rest assured that we will not enter the space or have access during your visit, ensuring you have complete privacy.
