Built by its owner before studying architecture, the loft reflects instinctive design thinking in every corner — thoughtful proportions, unique detailing, and a layout that feels natural yet surprising.
The Japanese-inspired bathhouse is the centrepiece. Enclosed but opening wide to the farmland beyond, it’s reached via timber duckboards from the loft. The deep soak bath is perfect for early mornings or evenings. The outdoor laundry is on the same walkway, blending convenience with gentle connection to the outdoors.
Inside, the open-plan living space features a wood fire, simple kitchen, books, board games, and Sonos speakers. No TV — just time to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the rhythm of country life.
Wildlife visits regularly — wombats, kangaroos, koalas, and echidnas — and the stars are spectacular at night. Surrounding farmland adds to the sense of space and calm.

We have help available if you need it — you won’t see the owners or managers in person, but Fleur or Lisa are always just a phone call away. Local help is also available if required during your stay.

The Koala Was Worth The Wait
Review C/O Airbnb- Liptrap Loft was an absolute little gem. Clean, cosy, and clearly put together with a lot of care..everything was so well thought out, we didn’t find ourselves missing a thing. Our afternoons were perfectly spent sipping wine and eating cheese (as they should be), while the days were all about fishing, exploring, and slowing down properly. The highlight? Finally spotting the local koala on our last morning after searching the whole trip..worth the wait! We loved it and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, easy getaway.
We loved having you Sarah, and thank you for leaving Liptrap Loft in such perfect shape. You were truly wonderful to host. Sounds like you found the rhythm of the place and the area, and so glad the koala showed up for the finale. You no doubt heard him first. He's a regular, though he does like to keep guests guessing.
Out Of The Ordinary In The Best Way
Review C/O Airbnb -Lovely property to stay at. The photos are exactly what you will find. It is a special place, out of the ordinary and taking you into a whimsical world of rustic French provincial with a Japanese twist; a place where you can see the stars at night or enjoy lunch under the shade of a beautiful tree. Well located near the beaches of the Walkerville area and the lighthouse, and not far from Wilsons Promontory. The property location makes a great base for local travel. The kitchen came with great provisions and the bathroom products were lovely. Beds were comfortable and quality linens were provided.

Stars at night, lunch under the giant eucalyptus, the little details taken care of, the Walkerville coast on your doorstep. Those are some of our favourite things about that place too. Weathered the Storm in Style
Review C/O Airbnb- Wow what an experience! Our family of 4 plus Lottie our dog had the best 3 night getaway at Lip trap Loft. Despite the wild wet windy weather we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The loft was the perfect place to come back to unwind and chill out by the wood fire after a busy day in the beautiful surrounding towns and beaches. So much to love about this unique property. Would definitely book again.

Review C/O Airbnb -We really enjoyed our stay! The house has a beautiful modern rustic feel and is very cozy. Everything was clean and well set up, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space feels warm and relaxing and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. We especially enjoyed the bathhouse while the rain was pouring on an early evening and the massive backyard for our dogs to play and roam. The hosts were easy to communicate with and our check-in was smooth. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and peaceful stay.

Left Recharged. Says It All Really
Liptrap Loft is a genuinely special place and I don't say that lightly. A one-of-a-kind, light-filled build with elevated boardwalks sitting right in the middle of farmland, just 8km from the South Gippsland Coast. It's rustic, but don't let that put you off, there are plenty of creature comforts thrown in where it counts. Whoever built and runs this place has clearly put a lot of thought and love into it, and you can feel that from the moment you arrive. I'm not usually one to slow down easily, but this place had me doing exactly that. Came away feeling relaxed, recharged and genuinely ready to get back at it. Highly recommend.

Where the Birds Sing and the World Goes Quiet
Review C/O Airbnb - Fleur’s place was peaceful, quiet and a wonderful escape to switch off and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was super comfy. The outdoor bath was incredible, especially as you look out to the secluded landscape. Fireplace was fantastic, and there was also some board games to play too! It was wonderful to listen to the serene sound of native Aus birds. There are many great places to explore nearby and in wilsons prom to fill your days - highly recommend!
